  1. January 29th 2020, the West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA) attends the opening of the 29th edition of Black History Month here in Montreal.

2. February 8th 2020, the West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA) attended a Black History Month celebration hosted by Overture With The Arts (OWTA).

3. February 10th 2020, the West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA) was recognized in the House of Commons by MP Francis Scarpaleggia for our community work in the West Island.

4. February 11th 2020, the West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA) was featured on CBC Radio ‘Let’s GO’ hosted by Sabrina Marandola on 88.5FM to speak on being named in the House of Commons, our community initiatives as well as our Annual BHM networking event. 7. February 24th 2020, the West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA) Executives heads out to their annual road trip to Ottawa @ the National Art Gallery in celebration of Black History Month. Theme for this year was “CANADIANS OF AFRICAN DESCENT: GOING FORWARD, GUIDED BY THE PAST”

9. February 26th 2020, The West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA) was honored to have been invited by Vanguard School to present what Black History month encompasses with a Q&A period to a group of 12-14 year old students.

10. February 29th 2020, the West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA) hosts our 3rd annual BHM Net working and Meet & Greet placing a spotlight on Black Professionals, Entrepreneurs and/or Business owners.
