ROBOTICS CLUB


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Join us as WIBCA presents a free mentor-based Robotics Club that will inspire young Black students between the ages of 9 and 19 to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), ventures, and projects. The Robotics Club will prepare its students to become innovative leaders who will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills. Our students will learn how to build robots, compete in tournaments, learn computer programming, and use various software. In addition, they will have opportunities to explore art initiatives through website design, 3D printing, and much more. Volunteers and mentors will have the opportunity to contribute and learn by sharing their specialized skills and working with each other and the youth.

PROGRAM ACTIVITIES

  • Learn from professional engineers
  • Build and compete with a robot of their design
  • Compete in tournaments
  • Learn to use sophisticated software and hardware
  • Design and build models, website, banner, and t-shirts

SATURDAY MORNING TUTORIALS

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Saturday Morning Tutorials is a free program that offers tutoring to students during their academic journey to help achieve their aspirations. We offer free tutoring services to students from grades 1 to 11. Our goal is to help students to excel academically by assisting with exam preparation, homework support, and cultivating a support system that vitalizes students’ academic confidence and motivation. We specialize in providing tutoring services in math, science, history, English, and French and welcome qualified volunteers who are proficient in these subjects to support our youth.
