Sunday, August 9th at 7pm

The purpose of WIBCA’s Town Hall II will be to receive tangible action plans from the public officials to correct the effects of overt and systemic racism currently plaguing the Black community in the West Island.
WIBCA’s 1st Town Hall held June 7th 2020 identified issues in three major categories (Education, Law/Politics, Youth/Social Initiatives) and now our elected officials and law-enforcement will have the opportunity to announce their solutions.
We look forward to your involvement and support as we move towards justice and equality for all of us.

FACEBOOK LIVE for general public: https://www.facebook.com/WIBCA/

The meeting will be conducted in English, supporting questions in both official languages.

WIBCA’s Virtual Town Hall II

The objectives of our 1st virtual Town Hall were met, giving a voice to deep concerns of the Black community members calling upon elected officials & law enforcement to hear and respond.
Now we move forward with tangible solutions derived from the meeting, feeding recommendations to respective parties holding those in the decision-making positions accountable to bring the necessary changes into existence.

Our community has spoken!

WIBCA would like to take this opportunity to thank our guest panelists, poets, moderator, elected officials, law-enforcement and our community at large for the overwhelming participation at WIBCA’s 1st virtual Town Hall meeting.

Our objectives set forth were accomplished and we will continue to mobilize as we prepare for a follow up Town Hall with a date TBD.

In the interim, we will take the necessary time to review/address all the correspondences in the FB chat along with gathering any questions which (due to time constraints) may not have been addressed during the Town Hall.

We would also like to thank the generous feedback received from many of our allies and greatly appreciate all of the volunteer requests and donations received to date.
